Teacher's Professional Development
The professional development of teachers is of paramount importance. The
Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, ISEC, different organizations and
institutions are involved in this process. The Ministry organizes teachers’
in-Service training, coordinates researches and methodology and organizes
quality assessment of teachers and education managers. The Ministry and
institutions subordinate to the Ministry provide professional development
programmes for the teachers.
ISEC is responsible for implementing and supporting government policy for the promotion of teachers training and the development of teaching skills.
